Indian Traditions Shine as Priyanka Chopra Shares Diwali and Karva Chauth Moments

Mumbai, November 8 – Although based in the United States, Priyanka Chopra continues to celebrate Indian festivals with great fervor. This week she posted a series of Diwali pictures taken at her Los Angeles home, featuring husband Nick Jonas and their daughter Malti Mary.

The actress wore a striking burgundy‑gold strapless gown embellished with intricate zari, bead detailing and golden thread embroidery. She completed the look with a tiny gold maang tikka, oversized golden earrings and matching chooda bracelets. Her hair was styled in a sleek low bun, accented by fresh white garlands, while her makeup showcased a berry‑colored lipstick and a smoky eye effect.

Nick appeared in a cream‑white kurta set with delicate embroidery, and Malti matched his outfit in a pristine white lehenga. The family gathered around lit diyas, creating a vibrant festive tableau.

Priyanka’s caption expressed, “Some special pictures from this Diwali. Wishing you all a very Happy Diwali.” Nick reacted with a lantern and star‑eyes emojis. The post reinforced her commitment to keeping Indian customs alive for her daughter, even while living abroad.

Earlier, she had shared scenes from a Dussehra celebration at the same home, including a puja, shivling abhishek, havan and a dedicated worship of the young goddess.

In addition, Priyanka recalled celebrating Karva Chauth with Nick in Los Angeles. She noted that Nick rearranged his tour schedule so they could observe the fast together. The caption read, “He came home without me having to ask. He knew how much this meant to me. He planned his tour so we could stay home for Karva Chauth. 😢 No partner like him. One photograph from the Karva Chauth post showed Nick gently washing Malti’s feet; the little girl wore an ivory outfit with a red scarf printed with “Jai Mata Di.”
