Composer Pritam and Lyricist Amitabh Bhatta Chatter About ‘Tujh Mein Basi Meri Jaan’

In a recent interview, composer Pritam and lyricist Amitabh Bhatta shared insights into the creation of the romantic ballad “Tujh Mein Basi Meri Jaan”, featured in *Prahar – The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikhom*.

Pritam explained that the melody was fashioned to complement the tender emotions of the film’s wedding scene. “We wanted a tune that feels intimate yet universally relatable. The orchestration balances traditional Indian instruments with a modern pop sensibility,” he said.

Amitabh Bhatta added that the Hindi lyrics aim to capture the fleeting yet profound moments that define love. “Each line is crafted to evoke the small gestures that make a partnership special,” he noted, while also mentioning the Marathi verses contributed by Amey Dayal to add regional flavor.

The duo praised the vocal chemistry of Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam, stating that their combined timbre elevated the song’s emotional depth. Both artists recorded the track at Mumbai’s renowned studios, focusing on delivering a performance that resonates with listeners long after the film’s release on October 16.
