Prime Video’s New Historical Drama ‘The Revolutionaries’ Explores Armed Struggle Against British Rule

“The Revolutionaries,” produced under the banner of Emme Entertainment and directed by Nikhil Aadwani, is now streaming on Prime Video. Based on the book *Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom*, the eight‑episode series dramatizes real events from the Indian independence movement. It focuses on a group of militants who believed that armed conflict was essential to dislodge the British Empire, ultimately forcing the colonial administration to shift its capital from Calcutta to Delhi. The ensemble cast includes Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta, Gurfateh Perijada and Jason Shah, while the story was scripted by Sanjay Sanyal.
