Parineeti Chopra Trolled Over Viral Shakk Success Party Clip
Mumbai, October 28: Actress Parineeti Chopra has faced heavy online criticism after a video from the success party of the web series 'Shakk: Trust No One' went viral. Now, her co-star Jennifer Winget has stepped in to defend her, addressing the trolling head-on.
The widely shared clip showed Parineeti seemingly stopping Jennifer from getting into a picture during the celebration. Soon after, social media users began accusing Parineeti of being arrogant, and the backlash grew rapidly.
Jennifer has now responded to the criticism and said there is no conflict between her and Parineeti. According to Jennifer, there was limited space at the spot, which is why she stood behind. She also stressed that Parineeti has always shown her love and respect.
Asking people to stop spreading negativity, Jennifer posted a note on Instagram Stories. She said everyone should be kinder and avoid turning the matter into something that it is not.
"Let's be a little more kind to each other and stop the negativity. I decided to step back only because there was limited space. Pari has always been kind and loving to me, and there is nothing but love between us. We are a team, and there is enough room for all of us to shine without bringing anyone down. Thank you."
The viral video had also led to allegations that Parineeti did not give Jennifer a chance to move forward or deliberately ignored her during the cake cutting. These claims further intensified the trolling.
In the series, Jennifer portrays Sakshi, a role that has been appreciated for its intensity and natural acting. Her performance is being compared to her strong work in the popular TV show 'Beintehaan'. Given the situation, some fans have guessed that Parineeti felt upset with Jennifer for overshadowing her. These remain unverified speculations, and neither actor has confirmed them.
