Parineeti Chopra Slams Rumours About Jennifer Winget Feud
Mumbai, October 28: Actress Parineeti Chopra has dismissed reports of a rift with Jennifer Winget, following the circulation of a viral video from the success bash of the web series 'Shakk: Trust No One'. Parineeti publicly called Jennifer her 'favourite' and warned that some people are fuelling baseless controversy for brief fame.
According to Parineeti, the video is being misrepresented and there is no misunderstanding between her and Jennifer. In a note posted on Instagram Stories, she said that she and Jennifer had spent the last two days laughing at clips created by individuals who describe themselves as journalists.
She noted that the joke was actually on those creating the clips, since the two of them were the ones enjoying the content. Her message was that such statements only expose the people behind them.
Parineeti also spoke highly of Jennifer's work in the series. She wrote that she had become a fan of Jennifer after watching her act in 'Shakk: Trust No One'. Calling Jennifer her favourite in the past, present and future, she described her as an outstanding actress.
The actress further thanked those chasing a few minutes of publicity through controversy, adding that their efforts had at least given people something to laugh about.
The rumours intensified after a clip from the cake-cutting ceremony at the success party went viral. The video showed Jennifer Winget standing at the back. Some users then started a claim that lead actress Parineeti Chopra had ignored or sidelined Jennifer. They also suggested that Parineeti views herself as a big artist and therefore does not follow her co-stars, including Jennifer.
Following the online reactions, Jennifer Winget had also released a statement clarifying the situation.
