Director Harish Vyas’ Family Drama ‘Om Ka Hari’ Aims for Emotional Bond with Viewers
Harish Vyas' latest family drama "Om Ka Hari" is charting a unique promotional path by leveraging more than fifty army recreation centres for special screenings. Producer Anshuman Jha will accompany the film on a fifteen‑city tour that includes Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Agra, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Patna, underscoring a strategy focused on personal interaction rather than mass advertising.
"This is an old‑school way of connecting with an audience," Jha remarked. "I want to build an emotional connection, not just sell tickets."
The narrative centers on a headstrong father and his free‑thinking son, played by Jha himself and Raghuvir Yadav. When the son believes his days are numbered, he decides to travel to Varanasi with his father, sparking a poignant exploration of generational gaps and unspoken family hopes.
The film, now entering its second week in theatres, is gaining momentum thanks to word‑of‑mouth and the army‑center screenings that are expected to bring the story to thousands of military families across the nation.
