Nora Fatehi to Appear Before Rouse Avenue Court on November 2
Actress Nora Fatehi has been asked to appear before the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi on November 2, 2026, in connection with the Rs 200 crore extortion case involving Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The court has issued the summons in her capacity as a prosecution witness, bringing her name back into focus in one of the most closely followed cases linked to Bollywood.
The summons is based on the third supplementary chargesheet in the case, which lists her as a prosecution witness. She is expected to give her testimony about the facts and developments associated with the matter.
Her role in the investigation is not new. The Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police had already recorded her as a witness. The supplementary chargesheet filed in January 2023 had also named her along with Jacqueline Fernandez as a witness.
The case originated from a complaint filed with the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police. It accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar of defrauding people of around Rs 200 crore while he was in jail. The complaint was filed by Aditi Singh, the wife of Shivinder Singh, a former promoter of Fortis Healthcare. Aditi Singh alleged that Sukesh contacted her by posing as a government officer and assured her that he could help get her husband released from jail. He allegedly used this promise to extract large amounts of money from her. The investigation found that several other people had also been involved in the scheme.
As the probe progressed, Sukesh's links with several Bollywood actresses came to light. Among them were Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez. Investigators learned that Pinky Irani had been used to bring the actresses in contact with Sukesh, allegedly by presenting his identity and standing in a deceptive way. Based on these findings, the EOW questioned Nora Fatehi for several hours in September 2022.
Nora told investigators that she had taken part in a charity show organised by Sukesh's wife, Leena Maria Paul. She said Leena had given her a Gucci bag and an iPhone at the event. Soon after, she was allegedly put in touch with Sukesh over the phone. Sukesh reportedly claimed to be her fan and offered to gift her a BMW car. When a man named Shekhar approached her about the car, Nora reportedly declined the offer and gave him the contact details of her relative, Bobby Khan. The car was later found registered in Bobby's name, and Bobby allegedly told police that he had received a BMW worth about Rs 65 lakh from Sukesh.
Nora has said that she was a victim of a conspiracy and had no knowledge of Sukesh's real identity or his criminal activities. The Enforcement Directorate has also looked into the matter from a money laundering angle. While Jacqueline Fernandez was made an accused over the expensive gifts she received from Sukesh, Nora's name was recorded as a witness in the third supplementary chargesheet.
Earlier, Nora had filed a defamation suit seeking Rs 200 crore against Jacqueline Fernandez and 15 media organisations. She had alleged that false and humiliating claims were spread against her, damaging her image, and that her name had been linked to the Sukesh case without basis.
With the court summoning her for November 2, 2026, Nora Fatehi's role in the case is once again drawing attention.
