Nitu Kapoor Shares Precious Multi-Generational Kapoor Snapshot

Actress Nitu Kapoor took to social media on Monday to display a unique family photograph that neatly places four generations of the Kapoor dynasty together. The frame includes the late matriarch Krishna Raj Kapoor, her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and the toddler Samara, capturing a moment rarely seen by the public.

Krishna Raj Kapoor, spouse of legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor, hailed from a distinguished background—her brother was actor Prem Nath and her father served as the Inspector General of Police in Rewa. Though she never sought the spotlight, her role was pivotal in keeping the sprawling family united. In the initial days of living in Chembur, she contributed by stitching and embroidering sarees. It is also said that she sold her personal jewellery to help fund the production of Raj Kapoor’s 1949 movie "Barsaat."

She and Raj Kapoor were parents to five children: Ranbir, Rishi, Rajiv, Ritu Nanda, and Reema Jain. Krishna Raj Kapoor passed away on 1 October 2018, aged 87, after a cardiac arrest, with her eldest son Ranbir and other relatives present.

Nitu Kapoor’s latest screen appearance is in the comedy‑drama "Dadi Ki Shaadi," where she shares scenes with sister Riddhima. Directed by Ashish R. Mohan, the film also stars Kapil Sharma and includes a supporting ensemble featuring Sadiyya Khatri, South Indian star Sarath Kumar, Nikhat Heagade and Tejaswini Kolhapure. The movie opened on 8 May and elicited a mixed response from viewers.
