In a move that has delighted both fans and music lovers, Salman Khan on Thursday unveiled the soul-stirring track ‘Main Hoon’ from his forthcoming war drama ‘Maatrubhoomi: May We Rest in Peace’. Shot in classic monochrome, the song steers clear of typical Bollywood romance and instead explores the emotional toll of separation experienced by soldiers and their loved ones. Chitrangda Singh’s expressive eyes and Salman Khan’s restrained intensity dominate the two-minute clip shared on social media. The narrative hints at a relationship forged in quieter moments yet tested by the harsh realities of the border. The stirring rendition by Shreya Ghoshal and Ayan Lal adds another layer of poignancy, turning the number into an ode to resilience and longing. Produced under Apoorva Lakhia’s direction, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Abhilash Chaudhary, Ankur Bhatia and Gen Sha. After script revisions and official approvals, the project—once slated for April 2026—has now been pushed to 14 August. Drawing from the real events of the 2020 Galwan clash, ‘Maatrubhoomi’ aims to honour the bravery of Indian troops while delivering a deeply personal love story set against the backdrop of national duty.
