New Devotional Single Marks Rashmi Arya's First Vocal Performance

Mumbai – The entertainment label T‑Series released “Shiv Shambhu Shankara,” a devotional composition that introduces fashion designer Rashmi Arya as a singer for the first time. The release coincides with the onset of the revered Shravana month, signifying a spiritual blessing for the newcomer.

The track’s music and direction were handled by Guru Sharma, while Gurpreet Chadha took on co‑production responsibilities. Chadha explained that the partnership emerged after a gym encounter: Rashmi revealed a yearning to record a song, and upon hearing a short melodic phrase, he recognized her distinctive vocal charm.

Following this, Chadha facilitated an introduction to Sharma, and the team jointly decided that a chant honoring Lord Shiva would be a fitting debut, aligning the project with divine favor. The music video was shot amid the austere hills and riverbanks of Rishikesh, where Rashmi’s perseverance earned praise from crew members.

According to director Sharma, Rashmi initially lacked confidence in handling the demanding piece, but regular practice transformed her performance into a pleasant surprise for all involved.

Speaking about the experience, Rashmi said that after years devoted to the fashion world, she never imagined carving out time for singing. She described the song as a natural expression of the virtues imparted by her mother, and credited Lord Shiva for the miraculous turn that placed her on this sacred musical path.

Actor Arjun Bijlani, present at the launch ceremony, commended the single, noting that he had expected a straightforward tune but was deeply impressed after listening.
