Naveen Singh Sidhu Shares 150 km/h Fast‑Bowling Memories

Former cricketer Naveen Singh Sidhu joins the discussion, adding his own recollections of the fast‑bowling era. He tells how he once used his allowance to purchase a large helmet, yet watched Gavaskar confront bowlers delivering at roughly 150 kilometres per hour without any head protection. Sidhu quotes Gavaskar’s famous line, “there was nothing inside the helmet,” prompting uproarious laughter from everyone present. Sidhu also reflects on his initial selection for the national side and the camaraderie that defined those formative years.
