Nana Patekar’s Films Keep Him Alive, Says Pawan Deep Rajan

Patna, October 11 – The film community is grieving the loss of legendary actor Nana Patekar, whose death has prompted an outpouring of admiration. Singer‑songwriter Pawan Deep Rajan offered a moving tribute, underscoring how the actor’s cinematic legacy ensures his continued presence.

“Even though Nana has departed, his movies make it feel like he is still with us,” Rajan said. “His performances are timeless, and they will keep inspiring audiences and artists alike.”

He added that Patekar’s humility and love for farming reflected a simple, sincere character that resonated with the masses. “He taught us that greatness can coexist with modesty. Young actors have already learned much from his example, and future generations will keep drawing lessons from his life and work.”

Vishwanath Patekar began his film career with *Gaman* in 1978 and later delivered powerful roles in *Ankush*, *Parinda*, *Pratighaat*, *Kranti Veer*, *Tiranga*, *Apaharan*, *Taxi No. 9211* and *Welcome*. His contributions earned him three National Film Awards and the Padma Shri honor in 1991. International acclaim followed with Mira Nair’s *Salaam Bombay!*, cementing his status as a globally recognized talent.
