New Executive Committee Member Nagma Defends Colleagues Against Puppet Claims

Amid the growing turbulence in SINTA, newly appointed executive committee member Nagma addressed the allegations leveled against senior artists Poonam Dhillon and Padmini Kolhapure. She strongly rejected the accusation that they act as "puppets" for external forces, emphasizing that each committee member operates on independent judgement. Nagma, who has worked alongside industry stalwarts such as Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar and Jackie Shroff, said calling anyone a puppet is insulting and undermines the intelligence of SINTA’s members.

She clarified that her involvement in the association is driven by a desire to improve conditions for struggling artists, not to engage in personal feuds. While acknowledging that disagreements are inevitable, Nagma urged that confrontations remain fair and free from personal attacks. Her statement comes as eight senior members, among them Mukesh Rishi, Deepak Parashar and Vikas Verma, have tendered resignations over concerns about decision‑making processes.
