Mumbai Event: Manoj Bajpayee Q&A and Conversation
A special interactive evening featuring actor Manoj Bajpayee has been scheduled in Mumbai for November 1. Titled ‘Manoj Bajpayee Se Guftagu – Aapke Saath’, the event combines a live conversation with an open question session for the audience.
The programme begins at 7 PM on Sunday at the Mukti Cultural Auditorium, Plot No. 141-A, Model Town, Andheri West. Sanjay Sharma, a senior journalist and the filmmaker behind ‘Sahiya’, will lead the discussion with the actor.
Organisers describe the format as different from traditional interviews, since members of the audience will be invited to take part in the exchange.
Bajpayee's career is a story of persistence that began in a small Bihar village. His work in ‘Satya’, ‘Shool’, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Aligarh’, ‘Bhonsle’, ‘Sirf Ek Banda Kafi Hai’ and ‘The Family Man’ has earned him wide recognition. The evening will look at his highs, lows and early struggles, as well as the experiences that brought him to where he stands today.
Discussion will also cover his recent Netflix film ‘Gajab Raat’ and audience responses to it.
According to the organisers, the goal is to help audiences connect with the individual behind the roles. Admirers, film enthusiasts and aspiring actors can all share their questions with him.
Sharma reflected on the purpose of the evening. “Some meetings stay with us long after they are over,” he said. “We have watched Manoj Bajpayee on screen countless times and admired his characters. Yet we seldom hear about the struggles and emotions of the person behind those roles, and this conversation aims to offer that.”
He said he hopes to erase the distance between the stage and the audience, encouraging open dialogue and memories that can be treasured for years.
Sharma also observed that events of this kind can bring people together in a busy metropolis like Mumbai. He plans to host similar conversations every month with eminent personalities from music, literature, theatre and cinema.
The event forms part of the cultural series ‘4 PM Tehzeeb’, which launched on October 24 with a music and poetry performance by singer Vaishnavi Sharma. Organisers say the first show drew a full house and an enthusiastic response from music lovers.
Cinema enthusiasts in Mumbai and nearby areas have been invited to attend. Since seating is limited, booking in advance through BookMyShow is recommended.
The organisers say the evening is more than a meeting with a popular actor. It is a chance to learn more closely about his struggles, dreams and experiences.
