Mrituydaat 1997 Comeback Recalled on KBC Season 18 by Young Fan

In a recent episode of "Kaun Banega Crorepati" season 18, contestant Almas Khan from Jaipur recounted her earliest encounter with Amitabh Bachchan’s silver‑screen work. She recalled buying a ticket to watch "Mrituydaat" – the 1997 film that announced the veteran actor’s return after years away from lead roles.

Almas narrated that the opulent Raj Mandir theatre, its chilled ambience, and the excitement of a family outing caused her to nod off moments after the film began. When she finally opened her eyes, the ending credits were rolling, but she still considered it her first Amitabh experience.

The host laughed and asked her how she managed to “watch” a whole movie while asleep. The story highlighted key facts: the film was directed by Mehul Kumar, starred Amitabh as Dr. Ram Prasad, and included co‑stars Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor and Arbaaz Ali Khan. It was produced by Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd, with music by Anand‑Milind and a popular soundtrack featuring Daler Mehndi’s “Na Na Na Na Re”.
