Monalisa Breaks Silence on Ravi Kishan's Bhojpuri Comments

Actress Monalisa has finally spoken about the debate sparked by Ravi Kishan's remarks on Bhojpuri cinema. While acknowledging a decline in work standards, she said she is hopeful the industry will rebuild its image and return to its earlier level.

Monalisa explained that she has spent most of her career in the television industry and is not deeply informed about Bhojpuri films. However, her husband Vikrant works in the Bhojpuri film sector, and she said he has told her that the standard of work is lower than before. Even so, she believes the industry will improve gradually, pointing out that Bhojpuri's popularity is visible everywhere.

Ravi Kishan's comments had questioned the current state of Bhojpuri films. He recalled that his earlier movies achieved silver jubilee success, but now theatres lack viewers. He further claimed that the industry was sold after he entered Parliament, and he asked why the volume of Bhojpuri film work had shrunk and who was responsible for defaming the industry.

On the separate matter involving Pawan Singh and Akshara Singh, Monalisa said she would not be commenting. She reiterated her wish to avoid controversies, adding only that Pawan Singh is a wonderful person and that people's affection for him is clear.
