Actor‑politician Mithun Chakraborty underwent a minor surgical intervention last night, prompting a flurry of media attention. West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari visited the private hospital in Kolkata to meet the star and receive a direct health briefing.

Chakraborty disclosed the details of the operation to both the chief minister and BJP state president Samik Bhatta‑Charya, requesting that the information remain private. According to the CM, the actor’s condition is now stable, his vitals are normal and he is expected to regain full health shortly.
