Lovepreet Gill Rejects Shahnaaz Gill Comparisons, Claims Own Identity

Mumbai, September 4 – Punjabi actress Lovepreet Gill addressed the media after being repeatedly likened to senior star Shahnaaz Gill. Speaking ahead of the upcoming Bigg Boss 20 season, Gill stressed that she possesses a unique identity separate from her colleague.

“The audience should understand that Shahnaaz is my senior and has her own reputation,” Gill said. “I, too, have invested several years in the entertainment field, building my own name. I request fans to regard my individuality and extend love to me without drawing a comparison.”

Gill also explained why she wishes to participate in Bigg Boss. She views the show as a space for artists to try fresh experiences. “The house provides a platform where we can display our genuine personality without any pretence.”

In addition to the competition, she plans to contribute to the communal aspect of the house by cooking meals, a practice she described as a revered activity in Punjabi culture. “Cooking is a good deed for us, and I will both prepare food and share it with the other participants,” she added.

Her possible entry into the house will be decided by a public vote against Riya Ahir, with the higher‑voted contestant earning a place inside Bigg Boss 20.
