Karisma Kapoor’s Early Set Frustration Over Limited Makeup Space

While promoting *India’s Best Dancer* Season 5, actress Shilpa Shirodkar recounted a specific episode from the making of the 1994 drama *Gopi Kishan*. The film was shot at the iconic Bhalla Bangla, which at the time provided only two makeup rooms for the whole crew.

Shilpa and Sunil Shetty were scheduled to film a scene together, so the production assigned them a single dressing area. The next day, news arrived that Karisma Kapoor would be arriving for her first day on set, creating a three‑person shortage for two rooms.

The production team explained the situation to Karisma, who immediately raised concerns about sharing a makeup room with another actress. She asked to use the same room as Shilpa, prompting a quick reshuffle: Shilpa and Karisma occupied one room, while Sunil took the other.
