Joya Hussain Calls for Global Action on Women’s Safety

Beyond her work on screen, Joya Hussain used the platform to discuss the broader issue of women’s safety. She pointed out that mistakes and lapses occur at multiple levels and that the problem is not confined to India alone. “There is no place in the world that can claim absolute safety for women. The challenge spans regions, professions, countries, and social classes,” she asserted.

Reflecting on historical progress, she acknowledged that women now enjoy more rights and opportunities than in previous decades. However, she warned that the situation is far from ideal and that substantial measures are still required to protect women everywhere.
