Jalsa and Mahalaxmi Racecourse Named in Mumbai Threat Email

A threatening email referencing Amitabh Bachchan's Mumbai residence, Jalsa, and singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has prompted a police investigation in Mumbai. The message, received on Friday, contained specific dates and locations for alleged attacks.

The email was directed at a school in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) area. The school informed authorities, and police have since opened an inquiry into the matter.

The message cited October 31 and November 27 as dates for alleged attacks related to Jalsa. It also linked Dosanjh's name to an alleged bomb attack at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse on November 27.

The writer used pro-Khalistan slogans and claimed responsibility on behalf of the 'Khalistan National Army.' The email further warned of possible incidents at the mayor's office at 3 pm and at schools at 1 pm.

Police are assessing whether the email is credible and examining each claim made within it.

According to a police officer, Dosanjh will perform at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse on November 27 during his India tour.

Separately, his Delhi concert on October 30 had also drawn attention over security. Delhi Police initially put a hold on permission for the show. The event organizer, BookMyShow Live, rejected reports of cancellation and said the permission had been paused only temporarily.

After a cooperative meeting with Delhi Police, where organizers outlined their plans and promised to follow all safety and traffic rules, the concert's permission was reconsidered and granted.

The investigation into the Mumbai threat email is still underway.
