Investigation Continues After Threatening Message Targets Ayushmann Khurrana

The Mumbai police have opened a fresh probe after Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana received a chilling audio threat believed to be linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In the recording, a man calling himself Anil Pandit claims to be Bishnoi’s younger brother and alleges that the police cannot keep Khurrana safe for long.

According to the voice message, the gang has gathered extensive personal data on the actor, including his home address in Chandigarh, the registration number of his motorcycle, and a direct contact line. The caller urges Khurrana to call back, stating that a single conversation could resolve the issue, but warns that silence will result in a lethal response toward the actor or any family member.

The threat also alludes to a previous case involving Tiger Shroff, insinuating that a similar outcome could be expected if the demands are not met. The message ends with a mocking question about how long the police can protect the star, emphasizing the gang’s confidence in a swift, violent retaliation.

Earlier this week, police arrested Vaibhav Mishra, an IT engineer from Bangalore, on charges of distributing threatening emails to numerous film industry figures, including Khurrana and Tushar Kapoor. Investigators say Mishra repeatedly posed as a member of the Bishnoi cohort while sending audio clips and written threats.

Senior officials have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, with cyber‑forensics teams tracing the origin of the audio file. The force has also issued an advisory to all celebrities in the city, urging heightened vigilance and immediate reporting of any intimidation attempts.
