From Indian Idol to ‘Ram Chahe Leela’: Bhoomi Trivedi’s Musical Journey

Bhoomi Trivedi’s entry into the music world began with a strong family influence. Her father, a railway employee with a love for singing, and her mother, a folk artist with her own troupe, surrounded her with diverse sounds from childhood.

She formally learned music from the eighth grade onward and made her first television appearance as a contestant on Indian Idol. The exposure helped her transition from an aspiring vocalist to a recognized talent.

The breakthrough arrived when she sang “Ram Chahe Leela” for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2013 film *Ram‑Leela*. The song’s massive popularity turned the spotlight onto her, leading to a string of engagements across Bollywood and Gujarati cinema.
