‘Hunkar – The Roar’ Trailer Highlights Assault Survivor Role for Anita Padda

The latest trailer for “Hunkar – The Roar” puts Anita Padda in uncharted territory as she portrays an assault survivor seeking justice. The short video opens with a tight shot of Padda’s face, then cuts to her standing inside a police precinct, where she files a complaint against the influential Bapji for a forced sexual encounter.

Padda’s social‑media caption explains that the series was filmed before her acclaimed movie “Sairat” and that she is thrilled to finally share this intense narrative with audiences. “No more waiting for justice – the roar of truth will be heard,” she wrote.

The series also features a strong supporting cast, including Ram Kapoor, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Arjun Mathur, and Zoya Husain. Directed by Karan D. Kapadia, Nitya Mehra, and Heeraaj Marfatia, the show will be available exclusively on JioHotstar from September 25.
