Fresh from the success of 'Krishnavataram: Part 1', Siddharth Gupta has opened up about the meticulous process behind his widely appreciated performance as Lord Krishna. Rather than relying on visual references from past productions, Gupta turned exclusively to scriptural study and personal introspection. He explained that by examining the source texts he could better understand Krishna’s voice, body language and emotional range. Workshops helped translate those insights into performance choices that felt natural and reverent. The actor emphasised that he wanted every gesture to arise organically instead of being copied from earlier screen portrayals. Gupta said he welcomed audience comparisons as a natural part of cultural engagement but kept them at a distance during filming. Only after the film’s release did the scale of public expectation fully register. He praised the director and production team for providing sensitive direction that allowed the cast to focus on storytelling without feeling overwhelmed by the subject’s sanctity. The narrative, drawn from Ram Mori’s novel, foregrounds Krishna’s relatable humanity alongside his divine attributes.
