How Deepika Singh's Marriage Changed Rohit Goyal's Family Story

Mumbai, October 26: Rohit Raj Goyal, a television director, has described how his marriage to actress Deepika Singh changed the way people looked at his family. Speaking on 'Pati Patni Aur Panga', he became emotional while praising his wife for accepting not just him but his whole household.

Rohit said Deepika had shown remarkable generosity by welcoming his parents and siblings into her life. He said she had also taken care of them with sincerity and affection.

He revealed that his family had once been the subject of harsh comments. People reportedly said his children would not marry and might one day have to beg for survival. Rohit said such talk began to fade once Deepika became a part of their family.

According to Rohit, Deepika chose to marry him when her career was at its peak and she was a well-known television actress. She could have chosen differently, but she picked a man who lived in a joint family.

"As she has said, I am her admirer. But no one becomes an admirer without reason," Rohit said. "Deepika decided to marry at the top of her career, and she chose a boy who lives in a joint family. She accepted my entire family, including my mother, father, brother and sister-in-law."

Rohit also spoke about his father and compared him to a special child. He said that accepting his father, speaking to him and caring for him was something only Deepika had done.

He recalled that when people used to see his father, they would say his children would never get married and would end up begging somewhere. He said that on their wedding day, many people came to witness the celebration, and he credited Deepika for this change.

Deepika also responded to Rohit's emotional remarks. She said she never thought he would reveal these feelings publicly and that she was left speechless because she had no idea he planned to say them. She said the honour of his family meant a lot to her and that she was proud of his hard work and patience. She also said her mother-in-law's blessings had played a major role in their journey.

The couple's romance started on the sets of 'Diya Aur Baati Hum', where Deepika played the popular character Sandhya Rathi and Rohit served as the director. Their working relationship slowly turned into a romantic one, and they married in Mumbai on May 2, 2014.

The couple later welcomed their son, Soham, in May 2017.
