Akhil Sachdeva Emphasizes Heart‑Driven Music and Fearless Living
In an interview on August 18, Mumbai‑based composer Akhil Sachdeva talked about his passion for live performances and the guiding role of his heart in his creative process. He described himself as a reserved individual in ordinary situations, yet a completely different presence emerges on stage.
"When I’m away from the spotlight I’m shy, but on stage my inner lion awakens. If you see me perform, you’ll understand why I feel like a king," Sachdeva said. "I don’t interact with a large crowd in my personal life; I either immerse myself completely or step back. These two extremes define me."
He reaffirmed his commitment to authenticity: "I trust my heart’s voice. I’m honest in every task, acting with love and ensuring I never cause hurt. When you work with such pure intentions, fear disappears."
Akhil, whose notable tracks include "Humsafar" from *Badri Nath Ki Dulhania* and "Tera Ban Jaunga" from *Kabir Singh*, recently performed the song "Piya Ghar Aaya – Homecoming" for the film *Awarapan 2*. The 3:08‑minute number was written, composed, and sung by him and features Imran Hashmi, Disha Patani, and Shabana Azmi.
