Born in Delhi in 1955, Gulshan Grover’s childhood was marked by financial hardship. To keep his education afloat, he sold household items from house to house, a task that taught him the value of hard work.

His passion for acting emerged early, prompting a move to Mumbai where he joined an acting institute. While studying, he became close friends with Anil Kapoor, a connection that would later prove valuable in the industry.

Grover’s film debut arrived in 1980 with “Hum Paanch,” after which he steadily built a career spanning over 400 movies. Some of his most memorable performances came in films like “Ram Lakhan,” “Mohra,” “Criminal,” and “Agent Vinod.”

His dedication earned him a National Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in “I Am Kalam,” cementing his status as a versatile performer who can excel beyond villainous roles.
