Arriving from Punjab without a concrete plan, Kaushal took up an odd job that vanished shortly after. With no savings, he found himself unable to afford the INR 1,000 fee required to become a member of the Movie Stunts Artists Union. Small loans of 100‑200 rupees from friends, free meals from local hotel owners, and occasional help with his accommodation made the difference between giving up and moving forward.

Kaushal emphasized that these gestures were not merely financial—they were moral support that affirmed his place in the industry. He thanked every veteran stuntman and action director who taught him the ropes, providing both mentorship and the first opportunities to earn a living.
