Ganguly’s New TV Journey: Partnering with Endemol Shine India for Big Boss

Mumbai – After a ten‑year hiatus from television, ex‑Indian cricket captain Saurav Ganguly is making a comeback as the host of Big Boss Bangla. The move marks his inaugural engagement with Endemol Shine India, the production house behind the worldwide Big Boss franchise.

In a press briefing, Ganguly praised the show’s unrivalled reach, noting that its multi‑language expansion has kept it “the biggest domestic reality show.” He emphasized that his previous hosting stints were on different formats, making this role a distinct experience. "Joining Endemol Shine and steering the Bengali edition is both exciting and rewarding," he remarked.

The announcement coincides with the buildup to the Hindi edition’s 20th season, where Salman Khan will continue as the anchor. The new season, beginning on September 5, will re‑introduce the franchise’s classic blend of contestants, challenging tasks, and unexpected twists, alongside upgraded set designs such as double XL rooms.
