Family Roots and Library Dream in Babu Patti Highlighted on KBC

In a poignant segment of KBC‑18, Amitabh Bachchan reflected on the historic ties his family shares with Babu Patti, the village that hosted his ancestors and his father, poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The actor emphasized the cultural significance of the locale and its need for educational infrastructure.

He shared that Jaya Bachchan, after visiting the village, noticed the lack of a proper reading space for children. Together they initiated a plan to build a community library. Though construction is finished, the project has encountered administrative roadblocks that have delayed the final setup. Bachchan assured that the library will soon open its doors, fulfilling the promise made to the villagers.
