Family Chaos Meets Fantasy in Yami Gautam’s ‘Nayi Naveeli’

Yami Gautam steps into a new genre with “Nayi Naveeli,” a Hindi drama that blends familial drama, comedy, and a dash of fantasy. Announced by Amazon MGM Studios and Colour Yellow, the film’s teaser has already generated excitement across social platforms.

The plot centers on a newly married woman who joins a family already wrestling with internal strife. Her presence gradually restores harmony, turning a once‑disordered home into a place of laughter and love.

The tension spikes when her brother‑in‑law becomes suspicious of her flawless demeanor, suspecting a secret behind the ideal bride façade. His conjecture that she could be a witch adds a comedic yet mysterious layer to the storyline.

Balaji Mohan directs the venture, with a screenplay by Himanshu Sharma and Divya Nidhi Sharma. The musical backdrop, composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, promises melodic numbers that complement the film’s festive atmosphere. Producer Anand L. Rai lauds Yami’s ability to embody the nuanced role, describing her as “the perfect fit for this enchanting character.”
