Fake Javed Akhtar Statement on CJP Protest Sparks Further Political Tension
A spurious message attributed to writer Javed Akhtar has added another layer of controversy to the ongoing CJP protest. The fabricated claim suggested that Akhtar condemned the Cockroach People’s Party and its leader, Abhijit Dipke, labeling the party a "puppet" of opposing political forces.
Akhtar’s official response on X dismissed the allegations as baseless, emphasizing that he never made any remarks against the CJP. He questioned the motives of those attempting to weaponise his reputation for political gain.
Meanwhile, the CJP continues its demand for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, condemning the recent Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list as flawed. The movement, which began in Mumbai, plans to expand its outreach to other major Indian cities in the coming weeks.
