Actress Divya Dutta used her Instagram feed on Friday, August 21, to spotlight the plight of stray dogs in Mumbai. In the post, a weary dog is seen sitting beside her makeup table, its eyes fixed on her as she applies cosmetics.

According to Dutta, the dog had been scrounging around the set for food while crew members either ignored it or chased it away. When she arrived for a quick touch‑up, the dog peeked through the door, as if seeking permission to enter. Dutta welcomed it, shared a small snack, and soon an assistant arrived with a bowl of milk and extra food.

The animal devoured the offering instantly, then stayed quietly, appearing comfortable in the new environment. Dutta wrote that the simple act of feeding the dog brought smiles to everyone present.

She questioned the habit of targeting and mistreating animals that depend on human care, emphasizing that we share this world with them. "Our role is to coexist peacefully," Dutta affirmed, concluding with a wish for every stray to find a safe, loving space.
