Diljit Dosanjh and ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ Receive International Emmy Nominations

Diljit Dosanjh’s performance in the biopic ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ has earned him an International Emmy nomination in the Best Performance by an Actor category. The film itself has also been nominated for Best TV Movie/Mini-Series. Dosanjh expressed his honor at the recognition, stating it was for the legacy of Chamkila, and expressed gratitude to director Imtiaz Ali. Ali highlighted the film’s representation of Punjab’s culture and socio-political landscape, and congratulated the team, especially Dosanjh, for his dedication to the role. The film also features Parineeti Chopra and is available on Netflix. Dosanjh will compete against David Mitchell, Oriol Pla and Diego Vasquez.
