Devi's Special Card for Bipasha Basu Wins Hearts Online

Mumbai, October 22: Bipasha Basu is currently immersed in work on her upcoming web series 'Barabanki'. During her absence from home, her daughter Devi showed her love in a special way, and her father, actor Karan Singh Grover, shared the moment on social media.

Devi made a handmade card for her mother. Karan posted it on Instagram, where the card read, “I love you mumma.” Devi further wrote, “I carry your heart in mine. You are my soulmate. I will always be yours.”

Karan accompanied the post with an emotional message. “When we wake up in the morning and you are not here, you still give us a reason to smile and fill us with joy. We love you so much, Bipasha Basu,” he wrote.

Bipasha is presently working on an untitled crime-thriller web series helmed by Hansal Mehta. The project draws from former IPS officer Alok Lal's book 'The Barabanki Narcos: Busting India's Most Notorious Drug Cartel'. The 1984-set story revolves around a large drug and opium trafficking network in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, and the police operation aimed at ending it. Bipasha will appear in a notably different look in the show.

Sunny Kaushal and Vishal Jethwa also have pivotal roles in the series. Sunny will portray an honest police officer who takes on the drug business. The screenplay is written by Kashyap Kapoor and Raghav Raj Kakkar, and the director is National Award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta.

The series marks Bipasha's return to the entertainment industry after about six years. She last appeared in the 2020 web series 'Danger', directed by Bhushan Patel, where she worked alongside Karan Singh Grover. Sonali Raut, Natasha Suri, Suyash Rai and Nitin Arora were also part of that series.
