Debut Actors Shine in ‘Don’t Be Shy’, Director Shruti Mukherjee Lauded

The romantic comedy ‘Don’t Be Shy’ introduced four fresh faces to Bollywood: Arohi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Biyanka Aroda, and Piyush Khati. Their performances received commendation from senior actors and critics alike, who praised the natural chemistry among the cast.

Director Shruti Mukherjee, making her mark with a youthful script, was described by Sonia Rajdan as “a filmmaker who crafted the movie with heart and daring”. The director’s choice to focus on themes of first love, friendship, heartbreak, and growing up resonated with college‑age viewers.

Veteran actors Kunhal Roy Kapur, Neha Dhupia, and Anurag Basu also appeared in key supporting roles, lending gravitas to the otherwise newcomer‑driven ensemble.
