Investigators say the accused, Chandan Mukhiya, performed a detailed reconnaissance of Lopamudra Raut’s Santacruz flat before executing the theft. He reportedly used a bamboo stick to climb to the fifth‑floor balcony, forced the main door and slipped into the celebrity’s bedroom. Inside, he took a luxury watch, two gold biscuits and a large amount of cash, which later amounted to a total seizure of ₹51 lakh. Police believe the stolen cash may have been partially used to purchase land in his sister’s name. The case remains open for further recovery of missing assets.
