Cricket Icons Yuvraj Singh and Shikhar Dhawan Pay Tribute to Nana Patekar

The cricket fraternity joined Bollywood in mourning the death of Nana Patekar, who succumbed to a cardiac arrest on October 8 at the age of 75. Former Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh wrote on X, "Cinema has lost a true legend, one of the finest actors ever. My thoughts are with his family. Om Shanti." Shikhar Dhawan added, "Indian cinema has lost a very special talent today. Your work will inspire generations, Nana Patekar. Om Shanti." Harsha Bhogle, a celebrated commentator, expressed his grief, calling Patekar "a brilliant actor on screen and an intense personality off screen." Patekar, a Padma Shri awardee, was also an avid cricket enthusiast who practiced off‑spin bowling at Shivaji Park during his youth. He often spoke of his admiration for Virat Kohli and his continued passion for the sport.
