Celebrating 50 days of ‘Main Wapas Aunga’: Director Imtiaz Ali praises viewer loyalty

On July 31, director Imtiaz Ali celebrated the half‑century mark for his film ‘Main Wapas Aunga’, which has now enjoyed a continuous 50‑day presence on the big screen.

In an Instagram post, Ali thanked the audience for immersing themselves in the film’s emotional landscape, noting that their willingness to invest time and feeling transformed the movie into a cultural conversation.

He called the positive audience response a “ray of hope” for modern filmmakers and said the love he receives will stay with him, inspiring future projects that balance entertainment and depth.

Ali highlighted the stellar work of the lead actors – Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina, Sharvari Wagh, and Naseeruddin Shah – and the crew, whose combined effort earned a double return of appreciation from the public. The director also expressed gratitude to producers Ananya Bidla, Bidla Studios, Applause Entertainment, and the distribution partners whose steadfast support turned a modest opening into an extraordinary run.
