Big B's Firecracker Joke Lights Up KBC's Diwali Special

Amitabh Bachchan's quiz show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' is gearing up for a special Diwali episode, and it will feature a star-studded lineup from the upcoming film 'Ramayana'. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey are set to join the host for the festive show.

The episode is already buzzing with a light-hearted moment. While discussing his Diwali memories, Amitabh Bachchan shared a witty anecdote about firecrackers. He said that if a neighbour's firecracker has exploded, then his own should be louder than theirs. The remark had everyone on set in splits, including Ranbir, Ravi and Sai Pallavi.

A promo for the special episode has also been released and is generating excitement among viewers. In it, Ranbir Kapoor talks about the true essence of the festival, mentioning Diwali, the tale of Ramayana and celebrating with loved ones. He invites audiences to share the joy of the festival on the show.

The promo further shows Amitabh Bachchan bowing before Lord Hanuman to receive his blessings, and joining the audience in the chant 'Bolo Siya Pati Ramchandra Ki Jai'. The episode is expected to blend the cheer of Diwali with the devotion associated with 'Ramayana'.

The special episodes will be telecast on October 29 and 30 on Sony Entertainment Television.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios, 'Ramayana' stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravan, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Laxman. Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan and Lara Dutta also have important roles.

The film is being made in two parts. The first installment is slated for release on November 5, 2026, while the second part is expected to be released during Diwali 2027.
