Bhumika Gurung Plays Purva in Six-Episode Thriller
Television actress Bhumika Gurung is ready to take on a thrilling new role in the web series Snow Bride. Best known for Nimki Mukhiya and Nimki Vidhayak, Bhumika now moves into a suspenseful world filled with mystery and tension. The series is set in a remote Himalayan village, where fear, superstition and a disturbing secret have become woven into the lives of its people.
Bhumika plays Purva, a woman who chooses to seek the truth rather than trust the beliefs that the villagers have followed for years. Purva does not accept claims simply because everyone around her does. Instead, she tries to understand what is truly happening.
Bhumika explained that what she finds most striking about the project is that viewers will experience the unfolding mystery in the same way Purva does. She hopes the audience will gradually peel back the layers of the story and question what they think they know about the village.
The six-episode suspense crime drama also features Shivam Bhargava, Manul Chudasama and Indrajit Modi in important roles.
At the heart of the story is the Yeti, a figure that the village has spoken about for many generations. Young women who vanish without explanation are connected to the legend and are called 'Yeti's brides.' Over time, the villagers have come to accept these disappearances, shaped by fear, faith and long-standing traditions.
Yet when Purva begins asking questions, she finds herself facing secrets that grow more frightening with each answer she uncovers.
Describing her character, Bhumika said that Purva's strongest quality is her desire to understand what is going on, even if it means standing apart from those around her. She said portraying Purva's resolve, along with the fear and uncertainty that come with it, was an interesting challenge. She hopes viewers will follow Purva's journey and reconsider what they believe about the village.
Shivam Bhargava called the concept of Snow Bride intriguing. He said the location and the Yeti tale, which many people have heard since childhood, create a strange sense of fear even before the reality is revealed. He believes the story will make audiences think about the beliefs people accept, the things they overlook and what might be concealed behind the scenes.
He said being part of a crime drama in which the mystery opens up gradually was an engaging experience. He is looking forward to seeing how viewers watch the series and how the mystery is finally resolved.
Manul Chudasama noted that Snow Bride stands out because its mystery goes well beyond the Yeti legend. Behind the truth the villagers have accepted lies another deep and haunting reality, she said. She described being part of a world where things are not always what they seem as a unique opportunity, and said she is curious to see how viewers will view the characters as the story's secrets come to light.
