Bhojpuri Star Highlights Global Reach of Language as She Joins Bigg Boss

Mumbai, September 7 – Bhojpuri cinema’s celebrated actress Amrapali Dubey confirmed her entry into the reality show Bigg Boss 20, emphasizing how the series will allow her to display the person hidden behind her many screen personas.

In a candid conversation, Dubey disclosed that she has confronted only one controversy throughout her career. She added that any speculation from fellow contestants about that singular episode will not affect her composure, as she has become accustomed to public debate.

“The show offers a stage where I can reveal my real self – something the audience has never witnessed before,” Dubey said. “Earlier, I performed roles that were written for me; now, everything is genuine, which is why Bigg Boss is so distinctive.”

She also spoke about the widespread presence of Bhojpuri language across the globe, highlighting its speakers in diaspora communities ranging from Fiji and Mauritius to the United States and the United Kingdom.

Dubey praised the Bhojpuri film industry for its ability to produce movies and songs that are heard and watched worldwide. “Our content travels far beyond India, and I want to present my true side to those dedicated fans,” she explained.

When probed about her biggest apprehension—whether it is a fresh controversy, losing emotional control, or the uncertainty of audience votes—she responded that votes are out of her hands, while emotional stability is something she can manage.

“Keeping my emotions steady is within my power. If I were to falter, that would be more distressing than any outside commentary,” she affirmed, underscoring her readiness to face the challenges of the Bigg Boss house.
