Rajkumar Rao, playing the titular government lawyer, reportedly spent days analyzing courtroom recordings and public speeches to master Ujjwal Nikkam's voice and gestures. To reflect the lawyer’s physical presence, Rao added several kilograms during the shoot. Meanwhile, Vaamika Gabbi, cast as his wife Jyoti, immersed herself in footage of the real Jyoti Nikkam, focusing on her compassionate yet firm demeanor.
