Behind the Scenes: Nitin’s New Avatar as Krishna in 'Elias Rukmini'
In a recent social media reveal, actor Nitin shared a behind‑the‑scenes video that introduces his portrayal of a youthful Krishna in the forthcoming Telugu feature "Elias Rukmini." The footage, posted from Hyderabad, shows Nitin in period costume, seated contemplatively, hinting at a formative chapter of Krishna’s life before his fateful encounter with Rukmini.
The accompanying caption reads, "Every love story has a beginning. Young Krishna, a dreamer… my completely new look. The film releases worldwide on December 4." The director, Murali Kant Devsoth, appears in the video speaking with co‑star Afiya Saiyed about the setting that shaped Krishna’s early years. Saiyed confirms her eagerness to see a ten‑year‑earlier version of the character, prompting a seamless transition to Nitin’s appearance on screen.
The film’s first shooting schedule wrapped up in September, spanning ten days and covering pivotal scenes with supporting talent such as Sai Kumar, Harsh Vardhan and several others. "Elias Rukmini" is headlined by celebrated Telugu actor Nani, with Deepti Ganta overseeing production. The technical cadre includes cinematographer Jomon T. John, composer Vijay Bulganin, editor Srujana Adusumilli and costume designer Rekha Boggarapu, while co‑direction is handled by Ramana Madhavarama.
The title teaser, released earlier this year, opens with a voice‑over where Murali Kant Devsoth discusses the Krishna storyline with Nani. The teaser also features a light‑hearted exchange in which Nani questions the depiction of Krishna as a writer of erotic literature, only to be corrected when Nitin identifies Rukmini as his on‑screen wife. The anticipation among fans remains robust as the December 4 worldwide premiere draws nearer.
