Behind the scenes of 'Ikka': Sunny Deol recalls bonding with Akshay Khanna

Sunny Deol used the “Ikka” launch to share anecdotes from his earlier project “Border”. He said the two actors spent long hours rehearsing intense action sequences, which helped them understand each other's rhythms.

“The shooting schedule was tough, but Akshay and I would often discuss our characters over coffee. That dialogue turned into a solid friendship,” Deol explained. “Even after years apart, meeting again on ‘Ikka’ felt like stepping back into familiar territory, as if no time had passed.”

The veteran also highlighted the thematic depth of “Ikka”, noting that beyond courtroom intrigue, the film explores family ties, moral dilemmas and personal sacrifice, which resonated with both cast and crew.
