Barati Singh’s Rise: From ‘Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ to TV Host
Barati Singh entered the Indian entertainment arena through the 2008 edition of “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge,” where she impressed judges and viewers alike, finishing as the second runner‑up. This early exposure paved the way for a prolific career in comedy and hosting.
She subsequently featured on The Kapil Sharma Show, Comedy Nights Bachao, and Comedy Circus, delivering memorable sketches that solidified her reputation as a “Comedy Queen.”
Her characters Bittu and Lalli remain beloved, and she has hosted an array of reality series including Khatrak Khatrak Khatrak, Bittu Bak‑Bak, and the daring Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Barati’s most recent venture, “Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment” (Season 3), aired on Colors TV and concluded on 30 June 2023, with chef Harpal Singh Sokhi adjudicating the culinary comedy challenges.
Off‑camera, Barati married TV writer Harsh Limbachia in December 2017. The couple lives in Mumbai with their two sons, Lakshya and Yashveer.
