Rajkumar Santoshi reflected on the wave of reactions his period drama "Bantwara 1947" has received across social media. While the film, featuring actors Sunil Dutt, Shabana Azmi, Preity Zinta, Karan Dutt, Ali Fazal and Abhimanyu Singh, has drawn commendation from several quarters, it has also faced critical commentary.

Santoshi remarked that the digital sphere now plays a pivotal role in shaping public perception, stating, “Social media is a massive player. It can be stressful, but we must get used to it. There is no escape.” He also praised the supportive video shared by Islamic Council Chairman Mufti Manzoor, who highlighted the movie’s message of love and humanity amid rising hatred.
