Baba Mahakal’s Dawn Darshan Draws Devotees as Neha Marda Joins Ceremonies

Ujjain’s Baba Mahakal shrine experienced a tidal wave of believers on the second day of the Shravan lunar phase. From Thursday night onward, pilgrim lines stretched across the temple grounds as worshippers awaited the 4 a.m. opening. The deity, after a ritualistic Panchamrit ablution, was anointed with sacred ash, prompting the entire complex to erupt in reverent chants of “Jai Shri Mahakal”.

Among the crowd, actress Neha Marda arrived for the fourth time to offer prayers. She participated in the early ash aarti, later seated in the Nandi Hall where she appeared wholly absorbed in Shiva bhakti. In a brief discussion with reporters, Marda observed that attending during the rainy month of Sawan is not easy, but the chance to see Baba Mahakal depends on the deity’s will rather than human scheduling.

Marda disclosed that this pilgrimage, though unplanned, marks her fourth visit this year and that the blessings she receives have helped her projects thrive. She expressed confidence that Baba Mahakal’s continued grace will usher in further positive developments in her career and personal life.
