Ayushmann Khurrana Left Rupinder Walia Deeply Moved

Actor Rupinder Walia has been drawing attention for his role in the recently released film 'Udta Teer'. He portrays a Sikh agent serving in the Counter Terrorism Squad (CTS), a character that has found favour with audiences. Alongside the film's promotion, Walia has reflected on working with Ayushmann Khurrana and the warm reception he received on his first day.

Walia said Ayushmann made him feel comfortable from the very first meeting, earning his admiration through simple kindness.

He recounted that he met Ayushmann during a fight sequence rehearsal. The production team had just introduced them when Ayushmann greeted him warmly. "He said, 'Oh, so you are Rupi paaji. I already know you. I have heard about your stories from Akash Kaushik,'" Walia shared.

"I was very emotional at that moment," he added. "For a celebrated actor like Ayushmann to make a newcomer feel so welcome was very special. I was already impressed by his presence, but the effort he made to put me at ease is beyond words."

Walia further spoke about the atmosphere during filming. "Ayushmann is a true gentleman who knows how to make everyone comfortable. He came to rehearse every scene with us. The set was so lively that it did not feel like we were shooting at all. It was like being part of a family gathering."

Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment have jointly produced 'Udta Teer', which marks the directorial debut of Aakash A. Kaushik. The narrative centres on an agent who forgets his identity during a mission and starts seeing himself as an Indian counter-terrorism officer, with comedy and several engaging incidents woven throughout.

Rahul Bose, Ram Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Raghubir Yadav and Brijendra Kala also feature in pivotal roles.

The film opened in cinemas on October 23 and was met with a mixed response from reviewers.
